Instead of tortilla chips, we use crispy pita chips and top them with fresh Mediterranean ingredients like hummus, tomatoes, olives, cucumbers, feta cheese, and tzatziki. It’s a light, colorful, and tasty dish—perfect for sharing at parties or as a quick lunch or dinner!
Ingredients
4 pita breads, cut into triangles
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
½ cup hummus
½ cup chopped cucumber
½ cup chopped tomato
¼ cup chopped red onion
¼ cup sliced black olives
½ cup crumbled feta cheese
¼ cup tzatziki sauce
Optional: chopped fresh parsley or mint for garnish
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut pita breads into triangles. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Bake on a sheet for 8–10 minutes, or until golden and crisp. Let cool slightly.
- On a large plate or tray, spread out the pita chips.
- Top with spoonfuls of hummus, cucumber, tomato, onion, olives, and feta.
- Drizzle with tzatziki sauce and garnish with fresh herbs.
- Serve right away for the best crunch and flavor!
