Just prep the night before, let them rise while you sleep, and bake in the morning for a warm, delicious treat. Perfect for weekends, holidays, or breakfast with family!
Ingredients
12 frozen dinner rolls (unbaked, like Rhodes brand)
Β½ cup brown sugar
Β½ cup heavy cream (or whipping cream)
ΒΌ cup butter (melted)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 small box (3.5 oz) cook-and-serve butterscotch pudding mix (not instant)
Optional: Β½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts
Directions
- Grease a 9Γ13-inch baking dish.
- Place the frozen rolls evenly in the dish.
- In a bowl, mix dry pudding mix, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Sprinkle over the rolls.
- Drizzle melted butter and heavy cream evenly over everything.
- If using nuts, sprinkle them on top.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and let it rise overnight at room temperature (8β10 hours).
- In the morning, preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).
- Remove plastic and bake for 25β30 minutes, until golden brown and bubbly.
- Let cool for 5β10 minutes, then flip onto a large plate and serve warm.
Notes
- Make sure to use cook-and-serve pudding mix, not instant.
For a deeper flavor, use dark brown sugar.
You can make these ahead and freeze after baking.
