kcalCream Fried Eggs are a tasty twist on regular fried eggs. Instead of oil or butter, these eggs are cooked in heavy cream, which makes the edges crispy and golden while the yolks stay soft and creamy. The cream thickens and browns as it cooks, giving the eggs a rich, buttery flavor. It’s simple, quick, and perfect for breakfast or brunch!
Ingredients
2 large eggs
¼ cup heavy cream
Salt and pepper, to taste
Optional: fresh herbs (like chives or parsley), red pepper flakes, or a sprinkle of cheese
Directions
- Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat.
- Pour in the cream and let it warm up and start to bubble slightly.
- Crack the eggs gently into the skillet, spacing them apart.
- Season with a little salt and pepper.
- Let the eggs cook uncovered. The cream will bubble, brown, and crisp around the edges.
- Cook for 4–6 minutes, or until the whites are set and the yolks are still a bit runny (or longer if you prefer firm yolks).
- Remove with a spatula and serve hot. Add herbs or toppings if you like!

Notes
- Use a nonstick or well-seasoned skillet to keep the eggs from sticking.
Try adding garlic or grated cheese to the cream for more flavor.
Serve over toast, hash browns, or sautéed spinach for a full meal.
Watch closely near the end – the cream browns fast!
